Default Parts is Parts!!! and expensive

Earlier posts I finally got the old Silver Buddy copy mold and Erie Dearie style molds back!! (I know I was DUMB!!! for ever letting them go) but had some extra cash and bought a 1000 wires for the Erie's (Mustang Wire had an overrun and I got a good deal) and 400 of the blade blanks for the Silver Buddy copy. I ran costs through 5 places and Barlows came up the best.

Now I just got to get off my butt and get pouring!!!!!!!!!!

Show me what your making Fatman, I am not sure what your doing since I do not know what a Silver Buddy copy mold and Erie Dearie style molds do. I have never got into making anything other than crappie jigs so a bit behind on what your doing??

I would hate to see the bill for the inserts on those molds for that bait.

Yea they are expensive. I bought the do-it blade bait mold a couple years ago and poured up 2000 blanks and sold the mold. We use them for walleye and white bass here, never caught a crappie on one. I think I ended up paying about $500 for the 2000 blanks. The problem is, all I used to fish was the 1/4 so I made them all 1/4 (1000 ea brass/nickel).. You can guess what happened I'm sure. This spring we got into a bite where they would only hit the 1/2oz size (bigger blade) so had to go do it all over again.

Ah, okay thanks! I never use anything like these and nice we have no Walleye down here. Use all the top parts, but not that Blade bait. I did catch some fish as a kid with a blade bait, but even then it was not usual that I fished with a bait like that. Not long after it was all soft plastic works and bass.
