    It's always good to step out of our comfort zone and tie or make some thing new to use because we always learn something from the effort. Plus we also know a lot more about what we are trying to make so we can get faster and neater doing these things! I bet something will eat it though! One thing to be careful of is with the foam type popper heads, you have to be careful with how much feathers we lit on it because of how it will sit in the water. Probably the same to some extent with most any material for the head.

    Below was one of my first two tries at a Yellow Jacket! I tied this right after a year of tying.

    Nice work and a good looking popper. Poppers can be fun to make, many different ways to go.
