    Default First Time Jig Tying

After reading about tying your own jigs on here, I decided to give it a try. Here is a pic of the first three that I tied. The one on the right is the first jig tied the middle is the second jig tied and the one on the left is the third jig tied. With more tying I hoe to get better at this

Yea, the first two I messed up on the whip finish but on the ones I tied after that I have been more careful on the whip finish.

I usually check in here at once a day to see if I can pick up new tips. I am going to try to tie a couple with chenille next.

Should get you some fish - As Stump said watch the thread over the eyelet. Looking at them are you tying with a collared jig?? If so try cutting some off and tying on the hook shank totally different feel when you tie.

Yes, I used collared heads on these jigs. I have a few non-collared heads that I am going to use next time I tie some jigs.

For sure when you get to tying chenille only use jig heads without a collar!
