double jig trolling

Never trolled but I'm thinking I have a lot of jigs I tied that are very light, 1/32 oz or less.
If I put 2 on one line what would be a good setup? One of those treble swivels? or would it be better to have one of them be heavier and that one drops off above the other, it runs below the other.

I am thinking it would depend a lot on what kind of trolling you doing. Slow Trolling is a bit different than long lining even both are actually slow. I usually just use one jig, but have at times used a heavy jig with a fly types jig above that and did catch some on the little fly thing as well the larger jig, but for this I was not long lining.

I guess I'm talking about long lining, I really don't know the difference unless it has to do with a weight above the lure a few feet? or maybe the speed?

I frequently use a double jig rig to drift or slow troll. I match the jig sizes to my primary quarry and speed of the boat. I use a heavier jig on the bottom and a lighter jig on top (shorter lead).

You can use a 3 way swivel, or just tie a loop knot about a ft or so up the line. I run my heavy jig on front light on rear.

Agree with the heavy up front and lighter head on bottom. We longline troll 99.9999 percent of the time.
