Got to try out a few of my jigs today . Overall I managed to catch six nice crappies and six OK gills . No monsters . Most productive was one I call candy corn . Has a body made of fluorescent Orange and chartreuse varigated chennile with an fluorescent orange rabbit fur tail tied on a 1/64th minnow head .
My brother fished plastics and caught almost as many , including the largest crappie of the day , at .94 lb. Gillchaser

My brother's .94 crappie caught on 2" chartreuse curlytail .

I have started going with the unpainted heads and the fish are still cooperating just fine

I tried to whip up some 1/80s on # 10s, I got about a dozen that should work but they aren't near as pretty as yours! I need some more practice with those tiny ones!

    Thanks , everybody !
I was lucky to get out a couple days last week to try out a few . Since , the weather went down hill and it doesn't look too promising for the next 10 days . Guess to time to hit the vise and tie up a few more . Gillchaser
