Simple. It works! It dries fast and holds strong. Worth the extra money if you want to use the same jig for a lot longer.
I have noticed everyone talks about using the Sally Hanson nail polish, is there a reason you don't use the other types of clear nail polish. Sally's is a lot more expensive.

Same as Kicknback. Tried some cheaper stuff but didn't work very good. Little trick I learned. I don't tie a whole bunch so it will tend to thicken up just sitting in the bottle. I didn't want to just throw it out so I bought a bottle of polish remover. I will take the Sally's and pour in enough remover to match polish amount 50/50 mix. Thins it real good and it soaks into thread very good, dry's faster and less build up. The thinner just evaporates.

Do any of y'all use gel polish.........My better half does her nails in gel, the stuff is very durable and dries under a uv light in 30 seconds.........

Because it works! Usually can get it cheap at dollar general
You may already have nail polish remover/thinnner in the garage, because it's primarily acetone.
Look guys, Nail Polish is just Lacquer so buy your self a can of Clear High Gloss Lacquer and thin it 50/50 to put on your finish for chenille jigs. As for thread neck jigs I also make my own for that and you can PM me if you want to deal with even worse chemicals to get this cheap, but Dave's Flexament is the same stuff and is a flexible glue type, but if you want just use something else like the Lacquer not thinned as much as before or something else entirely, what ever you like for them.
Sally Hanson just plain works . I tie a lot of Bucktails and the thread collars get a nice coat . The guys that use my jigs , and myself are very pleased that they can fish the Bucktails all day and not have the collar cut or frayed . Walleye an Perch can be hard on thread collars .
