Default !/32 Oz Roadrunners Including What We Used Last Weekend

The top one was responsible for most of our crappie last weekend, but also used and caught some on the second one down too. I can't wait to try the rest and especially the bottom 2 as I know the middle one will work well!

Those are some nice looking roadrunners. What size willow blades are you using?

Thank you! Size #0, but if a different brand it is a #00. I use Worth Blades.

Really nice jigs. I am a big marabou fan because the way it moves in the water. The fish seem to like your jigs very well. Thanks for sharing your gift.

Thank you guys! ehall I am trolling them at .8 MPH. And I am oh so careful to know what water depth I catch the first few in so I can try to live at that depth of water all day or maybe even for weeks sometimes.

Well like you I am also a huge marabou fan! All one really needs to do is be in their boat and just hang a jig over in the water so they can watch it a little bit. Stuff looks like it's swimming! Have been a fan since the 1970's at least! Thank you!

Skip what's was your water temp down there when you were catching? Approximately how much line do you let out when trolling?

Water temp was like 55 and I just make a good cast back and probably any where from 20' to 30' from my rod depending on where I am sitting. If I go with him I sit I'm back fishing and let him do all the work for a change, LOL! He just got this new to him boat last year and all new stuff as in TM and electronics. He lets his out less than I do, but I also know even back 30' it's not going to run very deep and I depend on them coming up and getting it. If in the back on the boat you could have just a little line out (like 15' or so) and they still hit it.

the 1/32 is in my thinking a very forgiving bait because it stays up off the bottom and out of most of the grass where a 1/16 will not do that at slow speeds.

Those are nice Skip, I like the top 3. Chart/Blue is always a good color here.
