Thanks guys! Bob that hackle comes off of coq de Leon chickens. I have a good many of these in a few colors, but most in Chart and FL Yellow. I may add some colors. They have the laced feathers like this. I will see where I have a pic of one some place.

found a picture of some. You can also see the chickabou which is like mini marabou.

skip you sent me quite a few of them a while back we will definitely have to work with them because I definitely liked the looks did you strip one side off before you tied I do love the marabou in kind of an olive color their but we do have I think five different colors that you sent me I would have to go down and check I just got through waxing the floors there I have to wait until it dries honey dues the top that off I had to do the upstairs and wax that also can't get away from that beautiful wife of mine she keeps me busy.

Bob I didn't take one side off, just cut the stem where the more fuzzy stuff starts and then pull a little off of the stem, maybe 1/8" to expose the stem and tied it in.

I thought you might've done it one way or the other but I knew that you had to take one side off a little bit I will have to try that someday I use a smaller hackle most of time when I make up that type of jig.
