Some how the Do-it molds are not the same as Blakemore.Blakemore has it trade mark & Do-it has it's trade mark that is why they don't go after one another.

Do-It molds has no trade mark. With Blakemores trademark you can get a mold, pour them for your own use but not sell them. The mold comes with a warning sticker explaining that. There is a sticky on here about Poney heads and Seahorse jigs that goes into great detail about all this.
Start with Post #1 and read down especially # 12 by Skip That explains it about as well as it can be.
Agree/Disagree Like it or not if you are pouring and selling them you can be sued and lose.

I am sure your old enough to remember he Stump Jumpers that BPS use to sell that were a horse head bait too. Well in 1994 Blakemore got he trademark! then they filed a suit on the guy that made that bait. I was lucky enough that he saw me post a Pony Head here, he contacted me to inform me he lost everything over this.

even if I sell a Roadrunner that uses a blade other than their imprinted blades, I have to put a sticker on the pack that states this was made under their Trademark and also has their number on that! So I would sy tread carefully!

I never will understand the appeal of a lure like that . Heck there are plenty of lures that fish just as good . Many of the members make under spin lures that are not pony heads . They will stand up fish for fish as good as anything . They don't have to get into a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo over a jig head style from 1930's . I'll just go ahead and say I'm sorry for shooting off my big mouth . SORRY

Just out of curiosity, I checked a China site.... http://www.aliexpress.com/item/20PCS...549171895.html
IMO, If Blakemore goes after anyone it will be them. I sell mine as a Made From Do-It mold spinner jig. I am not commercial just local fishing buddies and more often than not, trade for a fishing trip.

It amazes me that so many companies have gone for the china price and their products are being sold direct from china by the China manufacturer, I have seen several name brand rods, reels, various lures, line etc all being sold for 25% or less than the US companies marketing those same products.

Just for kicks I went and looked at your link - who would want them???? You don't know what kind of hook - they have barrel swivels and the blades on them are too big. And I hate to tell you TJ watch's the site and others have been warned so don't be surprised when you are.

It's a slap in the face to a Sponsor when someone says they selling knock offs.

I know for a fact more than a few that Blakemore went after just last year. Don't be one that gets one of them letters!
