That is just like I told you! Since they sell wholesale to places like Bass Pro and Cabellas as well as other retail business's then they can not sell on their site for less that the retail places or they would lose that business. This is not something they would really prefer and would prefer you buy from the retail business's they sell to. Don't you see how it would be totally horrible business to sell under the people they count on for the majority of their sales from? This is simply a price showing the MSRP and then retail business's can sell for even less and make their profit needed to stay in business! Every business I know of that makes a product that they market to retail stores will not sell for aas low as the retail stores they sell to!
Totally different business to make my point! I smoke a Pipe and there is a tobacco blender named (short for this) C&D. I can buy their tobacco direct for a price, but I can also buy the same tobacco from a retailer online for a lot less than what C&D sells it for! C&D is just protecting their retailers by pricing their tobacco the way they do and is not really their first way they want to sell their tobacco and would actually prefer you but it from one of the retail places they sell to.

It just good business if people want to buy a product direct that that business protect the stores they wholesale to and would be horrible business to under cut the business that they sell to for retail!

kissfan4 - It's ok not to agree with it but you do have to live with it. Now I do need to say one thing about your comment above, and truthfully this applies to anyone who uses the DO-IT molds to make them, "I make my own roadrunners for my use". Home molders don't make roadrunners they make horsehead jigs.

Now most of the guys who know me on this board know that I make ALOT of pony/horse head jigs. Every time a material swap box goes out that i join, they go in it, I've traded some of them for a spinning reel spool, for other styles of jig heads or as thank you's to folks who've sent me stuff (and that reminds me I'm way behind getting some out to someone)!!!!!!!!!!

This thread especially with TJ's input was LONG OVERDUE!!!!!!!

    Everyone have a great day!!!!!

Very little, but a little difference in the actual head. Both have same basic shape, but you can put a larger hook in a Pony head and even some put a Sickle hook in them. Roadrunners are only made by Blakemore and they have been making then for a very long time, I know at least since the 1970's as I have used then that long. There use to be another one called Stump Jumpers that Bass Pro had someone make them, but after bBlakemore won their law suit they also made the Stump Jumpers for Bass Pro until they changed the whole design and now I don't k ow who makes them!

As Skip said not much. I like to separate them as pony (Collar with a barb) and HorseHead no collar. I've put sickle hooks in both, but I always dry fit the hooks in the mold a few days before pouring as the eyelet to the bend on sickles are not all equal and all won't fit. I have to do some trimming but it's not all that bad.

Have talked with Do-It about changing the eyelet hole to an oblong shape verse's their current circle shape, so all style hooks will fit, but only got a email saying they would look at it and never got an answer back.

This is all very interesting. But the real question is what did Black Widow Jigs do to Slab?

Well I don't know, but suspect something to break the rules and probably more than one time. He doesn't ban people for nothing. So I would just move on as its really not my business.
