    Default Announcing my first born!

Went to BPS yesterday afternoon and came home with a Lefty Kreh jig tying kit.
It had: AA vise, basic tools, a bunch of various materials and a video taking you through several jigs. For $60 I thought it was OK. I did pick up a ceramic bobbin though, as I had heard the one in the kit would cut the thread easy.

I came home, spread out the items and watched the video on my laptop. Then reset it to second jig and tied the next two along with it. I can see how this could be addictive! They aren't perfect but, I think they came out OK for the first time...as any parent would say of their offspring. :D

Man oh man I wish my first born had looked that good. Now I am into grandchildren. If I knew about my grandchildren I would have had them first. One photo of my great grandchild is on my siggy. Seriously, they only get better the more you get to know your vise. Have a great day.

Nice job for your start. Just try to not go quite as far back on the hook with the chenille like the Green Chart one. Stop at or near the point to the barb for a stopping point.

Those look good, now go start looking for a desk with lots of drawers. You're gonna need it. These materials breed like bunnies..
