Truthfully it doesn't matter how good you are, if you keep an open mind on tying you'll STILL learn more and more. For me I'm still learning and some of the color combo's coming out with the new chenille's AWESOME.

Yes you can't stop learning as I still try to find some new material or anything I can do different that looks good. Make something new and exciting even if it is still just a jig.
I taught myself online for the most part. I don't even live near and material shops or a big city so not much here to lean on. Never took a class, but did read a lot and mostly learned on fly tying sites so it's good that we can bring some of that to jig tying and share info.
Ask questions and that is a big key to pick up some subtleties that are not necessarily open so you can see them without someone telling you.
One thing I learned early on is when you start tying a jig that is say 1/8oz or larger you need to double wrap it if using #2 or even #3 size chenille. So some of my very first looked okay, but they sure were skinny looking, LOL! So glad that time is past.

yep skip got me into the addiction too. once i go some of his bream jigs. thier was no turning back for me. i just havent been able to tie some.
