II'm thinking I've got to get into this hobby looks to cool to be fishin you own jigs and catching fish last year I tied up some jig and caught alot with em are you wrapping with just basic pipe cleaners? Or do you get special stuff?

There's a lot of places to get materials. Crazy Angler is a good start. Lots of different colors of chenille (body material) and maribou or hackle feathers (tail material) to choose from. Youtube is a great place to see jigs being tied. Just search crappie jigs or how to tie a crappie jig.
