    Default Looking for Jigs

I tied flies when I lived in Montana for trout and have now moved to Illinois and there is not much in the way of trout here. So I figured I would try my hand at Crappie jigs. I do not know where to find round jig heads without collars however. Does anyone have any place I can order them from or any other information about this?

TNT offers powder paint as well if you need to get the heads painted. If you tie flies for trout you'll have no problems tying crappie jigs.Going from a #16 to a #6 or larger is very different, everything is bigger..I'd tie some of your favorite trout patterns on a jig and see what they look like. Maybe enter a crappie jig swap and you can get a good idea on how crappie jigs can look. Some excellent tyers with some great ideas on cc.

Look through the jig tying section and folks have posted all kinds of ties with many materials (Sounds like trout tying huh). It's really easy and you'll get used to the extra size space you'll have.

Any of the guys listed as selling jigs can help you out all are good.
