Hey Ship, thanks for the warm welcome.I learned about the site from another member on another board.Ive been reading and post where I think I can help when time allows.Being a full time tackle maker keeps me busy most of the year but I truly do love jerkin slabs.I will be happt to help as others do when I can.

I think it is a pretty cool idea. It would be interesting to see what other people come up with when trying to tie the same jig. I haven't been tying for all that long, but I am eventually looking to try to sell jigs online. I don't think it would really hurt someone in business selling jigs to swap a few with other tiers. If someone is looking to copy your jig, he is most likely not someone who would buy from you anyway, at least not more than once, and not in large quantities. It would be just as easy to look at a website and copy your designs. Methods are developed over time and experience, and just because a guy has one of your jigs in his hand doesn't mean he can make it exactly the same. Guys who are looking to buy jigs online or otherwise are most likely those who don't want to mess with tying or don't have time. Believe me, I totally understand some of the other opinions on the matter, and am not trying to say anything bad toward any of you at all. Just my own opinion. Maybe I'm wrong and I'll come to regret my optimistic view of others, but if the swap happens, count me in.

Thanks Skip, you've got some nice jigs going on your site.As with the other guys here, can tell everyone takes great pride in there tying here. There is nothing comes close to tackle made by hands of guys that love the trade or hobby whichever may be the case.

Thumbs up Too Soon To Give Up

I guess this DIED. All you tiers start getting some jigs together and we'll swap at Crappie Camp. Bring some stuff and your vice also as we rally at night and tie jigs and pour soft plastics. Great time for us amateurs (?) to share ideas. Dont miss it!!! After camp we'll have each others adresses, etc. so we can swap anytime we want.
