Thread: Pass the Box Round 3

Don't mean to whizz on anybody's party here, but the original plan was to take 4 or 5 items and replace with equal or greater value items. When I received this box it was pretty slim pickings ( kind of hard to find anything I wanted). In an attempt to keep this box going for a while I placed 50 new items in this box with the idea that there would be some good stuff for the next 6 or 7 people at least. The way I see it Chillman has removed at least 12 items from this box. Hopefully he has replaced them with equal or greater items so the next person has something good to choose from. I really think that we should try to adhere to the original plan and only take 4 or 5 items per person. What does everybody else think about this?????????

I agree with you, I feel it should be 4 to 5 items, and we replace with equal or greater value, I'm goin thru my stuff now seein what I have to put in it!! Hope to add to it also, and keep it going!! Also one reason I like the box is because Jig tying supplies or even soft plastic are not all the same across the country so I like to see what is offered at different places, and also see what works for ya'll in your states, that is one of the main reason I really enjoy the jig swaps also!!

I am sorry no excuse for not reading the rules but I think I put in as much as I took out if not more. Will do better next time. AC box on the way

I'm gonna take the hit for this one guys!!!!!!! In an effort to keep the box going and the fact that I've been out on medical leave I sort of tried to help keep it moving along when Round 3 started and I didn't post the original rules listing. For those of us who have been in all the rounds we knew this, and when two new guys jumped in the mix I figured it would help add some variety of new stuff to the box. I should have posted it when we added the new guys.

I'm finally starting back to work on 5 Jul, so someone is going to need to take this over as I get back in the swing of things. I'm staying in for Round 4.

This is my final 2 cents, once AC gets the box I think he should hold it while a BRAND NEW sign up list is done. Give it 3 weeks posted here and also posted in the jig making/jig tying forum, telling them if they want in to post to the swap section to see if we can pick up some more people. When that's done the listing of who sends to who can be set up. Last thing, whoever takes this over i'd like to see everyone send their mailing address by PM to him/her, from other swaps I've been in for fly tying this really does help.

Post your thoughts folks, we're all in on this and whatever makes it easier and quicker for the box movement the better for all of us.
