Skypilot I am sure they are better than what you are making them out to be, feathers can be tough sometimes.

soswine thanks for the update there is still plenty of time yet, have one more swap before I actually start working on mine as well

Crappiekiller3 I am getting the impression that it wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be. Pretty good stuff to tie with when you can get it working the way you want it to. Sometime I find feathers have a mind of there own

Snake River got yours in the mail today nice ties will get back with you on the plastics as soon as I get a chance to mess with them. Vacation next week so looking to see what the fish think about them in my area

Doc.... Yeah, duck fedders turned out to be kinda fun once I learned how to get the curl out of them!! Not nearly as bad as I thought after the first couple I did. Wound up thowing them away and started over!!

Can hardly wait start vacation today and gonna get some good fishing in wanna try out the birds and see what kind of reaction I get from the fish here...

Doc.....I took the larger pieces of mallard flank and cut along side the stem
to make smaller pieces, then the duck straightened out nicely. My first two attempts looked like they were leg wrestling with each other!!! I bought
four different colors of feathers so now I'm gonna play with them, maybe some multi colored jigs and throw in some flash.
