I'll be watch for em Attica. For some reason my mail has really been slow the last few weeks, maybe I'm on the ten most wanted list or something!
With your's in the mail we only need Uncle Grump's and Flybuster's to complete the swap. Then the jigs will be sent out and the Smallies will
    suffer!
I know Erie has some big Smallies and my son lives on the Detroit river.
I gave him my 17 1/2 ft Tracker last fall, but I wouldn't be comfortable on
Lake Erie with it. I've been on a couple charters with him, but we didn't hit
    good smallie areas.

    Oh the best laid plans.....

My plan was to get up this morning and finish my jigs....

But the phone went off at 1.30am - and it was work (on call), and I spent from 1.30-6.30 working on a problem....and now, I feel ready for a nap...much less work.....

I will try to get mine out by Sat.

    Here they are.....

    Both are 1/16oz, #2 hooks.

The first (left hand) started as a crappie jig in 1/32 oz, but last summer I found that the smallies liked it too - so I upsized it for this swap.

The 2nd (right hand) is my version of a fly pattern called "Barr's Meat Whistle". I had found a variant of it on a SMB fishing site (as a fly), and then used Google to learn more about it - mainly to see how others tied it. My version is slightly less complex than the fly. I found this to be a very time consuming tie. I am enclosing a instruction sheet of how I did the tie process.

Both jigs look better up close and personal - vs my pics. I was in the basement, and even though I had the ceiling lights (shop style flor.) on, and the camera flashed, the colors look washed out. But you get the idea.

This morning I gave a couple guys I work with some of these - they went over well - one comment was "Beautiful" - I think they are functional and should catch fish, but beautiful might be a tad strong.....
