Good one congs
In the last 30 day's I've got 3 crappies that were over 2 #'s each.Today's was the first time I was smart enough to remember I have a cell phone camera in my pocket to snap a picture.I released all 3 of them for I already have a couple 2 and 3 # crappies on the wall.I haven't fished that much this season and was thinking I wasn't going to reach my normal 4 2#+ crappies for the year but the one from today got me there. As you can see from the first picture it's tail was on the ground and his mouth was past the top of the 5 gal. bucket with a screw on lid that makes the bucket a inch taller.

Really nice crappie there!!!!!! Now where was that at? LOL
Fish now, you'll be dead for a long time
Thanks
Now for the where - I'd say maybe about 12 miles south of where you live on a body of water just off the Iowa River (public fishing area).:D I caught around 200 hundred crappies in a few hours with only 6 being over 9" .It was a blast and in the next few years it's going to be great as long as the meat hunters stay away.

Very nice fish! I hope you put a X on the side of your boat so you will know where that hole is next time you go. I have caught a lot of 2lb crappie but none of them ever sized up to a 5 gallon bucket like that one.

Lebruce - I am impressed. Here in east central Illinois we usually put our crappie up next to a coke or beer can so people can judge the size - not a five gallon buicket. By the way, that is a super nice slab.
