I need one for sure.
Has anyone up here had a chance to fish with the Garmin Livescope? My partner and I fished our first tournament with it on the Crappie Master's Lake of the Ozarks tournament. I am blown away with what you can do with it. Lake of the Ozarks is known for either spider rigging and/or dock shooting for crappie, and we were one poling suspended crappie up to 25' down. Below is a link to a short video I put together from tournament day.

Thanks for the video!

Showtime or anyone else with experience in Livescope,
Just wondering how you like your livescope by now? Wanted to pick your brain and ask a few questions
Thinking of getting a 9" screen, is this big enough and what do you have?
I know you used yours this spring, Prespawn with luck. What about this time of year where they are more spread out in the RR's main lake? Is it helpful for this?
Is it fairly easy to find brush piles on RR with it or is it better to have them already marked?
Thank in Advance!
Nice video........

Thanks Dave!
Kelvin,
I am confident enough in the Livescope that I am going to list my spider rigging equipment for sale. Considering I used to spider rig most tournaments I fished, it's a big deal for me. Honestly, I personally don't think anything has changed crappie fishing as much in the past couple of decades. The Livescope has been great.
I run the echomap plus 93sv, and I love it. If you can afford a 12in graph, get it. My dad has a 12in graph and it's awesome. You can still see everything you want with the 93sv, but the 12 allows you to see better details at a further distance. You can see the same detail with the 12in graph at 30' out, as you can with the 93sv at 20' out.
Once you get used to running it, you can find anything you want. It took me about 2 days on the water to fully understand it, but it's easy to pick up. I am still amazed every time I am out with it. I like it better than rigging for scattered fish, because I can pass on the small crappie, and just target the larger ones. I have no complaints to this point. Below, is a picture of some stake beds I found on Red Rock my last trip out. Hope this helps!

Showtime - what kind of spider rigging equipment you going to get rid of?
How does Livescope do in current? Does the picture get distorted any? Just didn't know how it would be for river type fishing.
Lovetohunt,
I have four 14' BnM Capps and Coleman spider rigging rods for sale. I can send you pics of them if you are interested.
I haven't had the Livescope on the river, so I couldn't tell you for sure, but I couldn't imagine it being any different. It works the same from dirty water to clear water, so I would imagine current wouldn't cause any issues. I'm sure there is a video on YouTube of someone using it on a river.

I've been using the panoptix technology for 2 summers now. I had the ps31 ducer last year, and upgraded to the lvs32 livescope ducer for this year. It is simply "amazing"! Finding fish where I never would have before, watching how they respond to the presentation, heck, even watching the fish while fighting it.
