Thread: Anyone been getting them?

I haven't been out on the river (17) in a few weeks and haven't heard of anyone doing too well this year on the open water...it should be picking up this next week or so

Got out today on the Mississippi pool 16. Launched at the marina in Andalusia mostly to bass fish. Had five hits before we left marina, but only landed one. Water temp there was 54 when we got there. Fished some back waters in the island complex. We got a 14 and two 16's and a dink back there. We fished for crappies a short time, getting half dozen with two of them very black. We also hooked a couple catfish. Water temp in this very shallow back water was 63 when we left.

Caught 6 10-13 on Sunday pool 17 at big timber all from same laydowns. No other bites while there. Caught 2 in Cleveland pool 17 Sat no pattern. Water temp was 66 to 70 on top always figure 5 to 10 degrees cooler a few feet down
