    Default Lake Macbride

    May 23, 2014

Anyone who has been fishing Macbride lately knows that the crappie just haven't been doing anything... even though they have been biting on the reservoir below MAcbride. Well... FINALLY the water temp is in the lower 70s and the crappie are in the shallows. Yesterday we caught a lot of small ones and a few keepers around brush in just a few feet of water. The water is so clear right now that several times were were able to actually spot the fish, drop a minnow on em, and watch em hit it! Of the ones we kept, all were female. Nothing spectacular but at least it's a start. They have NOT spawned yet!

I got into some good crappies on the Res. last Sat.. Let them all go do to they're still on spawn mode.
:D Give a man a crappie you feed him for a day...teach a man to fish for crappie and get rid of him for the weekend!!!
