    Default Lake Rathbun Crappie Club


    Held our first tournament 9/18/2011 only 5 teams showed but all had a good time top team came in at 7.25lbs for 5 fish so fishing is still decent here anyway we are looking for any crappie fisherman interested in joining us we may be starting small but we have lots of good ideas and hope to get a working base of teams so we can really organize over the winter and come out strong in spring of 2012 and hold at least 1 tournament a month thru to oct if interested you can post here or call Frank At 641-895-4911

    Hey Frank would love to make it down there for the tournament on the 9th can you p.m. me some information. I will see what I can do not sure as I am leaving for Wyoming on the 13th for a Mule deer hunt.

    LAKE RATHBUN CRAPPIE CLUB
    Calling all Crappie fisherman to help us by joining together to create our own club to promote fun, safe, fishing by holding local monthly fishing tournaments and events here on

    LAKE RATHBUN
    First tournament Date is
    SUNDAY OCTOBER 9, 2011
    Membership in the club is required at a cost of $10.00 per person
    Team Entry Fee $ 40.00
    Big Fish $ 5.00
    7am to 2pm weigh in by 3pm

    Nevada, but make it Clear lake when I need a good dejection, not had much luck there, but like it.

    Did real well there last week the water clearity is really coming around after the dredging. filled the livewell with yellows and 4 nice walleyes. But the best part was we were catching crappie about 3 to 6 inches long so they are coming back.

    well have had a few calls from out of towners and looking good so far and the local boys are looking forward to taking all you out of towners money they say you guys dont stand a chance LOL anyway seriouly if your interested give me a call and let me know oh ya we decided to drop the membership fee for the club to just $5 being only one tournament left for the season and if you are fishing with a minor they are free and right now we are talking about nexted years fee being something like $20 per person and $30 for family got quite a few guys fish with thier wifes and kids and we want to keep this inexspensive and fun for all also last week Paul Alpers the president of crappie masters came by last week and he was excited for us to get this up and running and hoped that we could someday get up a three lake circuit between rathbun saylorville and red rock dont know but if enough of you northern guys are interested we could try it anyway i got to get to work here fishing is still good down here so I will get out of here and hope to hear from you soon.
