dinks for about a week the water temps are in the high 68 they shut down the spillway friday or saturday to almost nothing lake is at 905.24 other than that starting to get a few reports of some larger ones being caught and they still have eggs so not for sure if they spawned yet but my best guess is no weather is looking great thru the week and with the temps going up and the water level stop this week should be a good one. Lake Rathbun Crappie Club has a tournament this Sunday and Crappie Masters is in the following Saturday so this weeks tournament should be a good one already have 8 teams signed in or commited to be in and more on the way so we shall see what is going to happens

just a little update the reports I am getting are the big ones are in about 8 feet still slow but picking up and they are still full of eggs so I guess they know what they are waiting for but nobody else does the wind has been alittle much last couple of days but other than that it has been nice the lake is pretty clear and water temps are still 68 and up. As For the tournament this sunday so far 10 teams are in looks to be a good one and with crappie masters June 2 this will be a great time to get in some pre fishing tournament style

Default Latest fishing report and this months tournament

been busy so havent had time to give any fishing reports for last few weeks anyway crappie been about the same we have had a few storms come thru and has been fairly windy off and on for the last week and half but there are still fish being caught lots of little crappie on the rocks and in the shallows bigger ones are still hangging around 6 feet in the structure crappie cove southfork buck creek and bridgeview have all been good spots these past few weeks, Walleye last week started up and alot of nice ones were caught on the flats in shallow with crank baits but by the weekend they slowed back maybe with this wind and heat coming at us they will pick back up Catfish have been going strong for at least a month and getting alot of nice ones being caught daily, anyway hope this helps and dont forget THIS SUNDAY JUNE 24 is the LAKE RATHBUN CRAPPIE CLUB TOURNAMENT and the new tournament hours are 6am to 12pm weigh in by 1pm this change is to help with the heat and summer boaters if you might be interested in joining us dont hesitate to give us a call thanks and as always good fishing Frank 641-895-4911 or visit the club web site at Home - Lake Rathbun Crappie Club
