Sounds like you had a great time Hopefully we will get a few days of good weather here in Iowa to get the fish going
Randy
Just got back from my 3rd annual trip to the Missouri Crappie.com Spring camp down at Truman. We got there Monday, so only spent about 30-40 minutes on the water. The water temps were mid-50's, and the crappie bite which had been great the week prior was disturbed due to the bad weather that had moved in. Tuesday we got out, nothing appeared to be shallow, so we tried deep. 1/4 oz jigs with 3 inch twister tails produced our limits by 11:30, "slow" trolling fighting the winds), fishing 10-12 ft deep in 18-23 ft of water. Wednesday, we had about the same results, but it took till almost noon to get our limits. Thursday, started off slow, so we left the lake with 8 apiece at noon, and came back out about 3:30. It was slow going till we found a "honey" spot outside the bays, in the main lake. Ended up fairly quickly filling our 3rd straight day of limits (and last day of limits). We caught some nice fish, nothing tremendously huge. Smallest was 9 inches. Caught a bunch in the 12-14 inch range. Had a great time fishing, and a great time socializing with the Missouri crappie.com guys!! Now I'm fired up for the Iowa lakes to get turned on.

Hi Smitty!
It was good seeing you again. Let me know if you ever get time to get up this way, heck, we could split the distance and do some fishing at Rathbun. I could always use some tutoring from an expert!!
