Nice looking mess Prch!! My boat is still getting worked on. You guys are making me jealous. I have been putting in some quality time with my 5 month old son. I hope to have a pic like that with him someday.
If you guys have any thoughts on the club, I am all ears. I have made some good contacts, but I think we might be to the point of setting up something for the spring. Either a tourney, or some sort of crappie clinnic (suggested by a poster).
We could get together and have a day of fishing and discussing techniques and what we want to achieve as a club.

Brian, lets set up a meeting place and time for those interested. Ive been involved with sevral fishing clubs and tournament trails getting off the ground. The best thing is to have an informal brain stormer and build from there. It doesnt hurt to centralize it but my vote for the intial meeting would br say at Boogies or some place in Alblia. The owner would be willing to offfer a meeting spot in return for what they may regain in food or drinks during the meeting. say lets get it going I'll help anyway as possible as youy know anything to keep competitive crappie fishing in southern Iowa.

That sounds like a great idea. I will start a thread about getting together, we can ask people when they would like to do it (we are getting close to the Holidays). I am all for Bogies also, the prime rib is great there. I know the owners, I will talk to them. I am all for going anywhere we decide. Looking forward to getting this going, this way we can determine our focus. And maybe figure out what you and your son are doing to catch all those slabs...:p
I checked the domain name www.iowacrappieclub.com and it was available so I went ahead a bought it. Hopefully as things get going we can set up a simple website at first. Thanks for the ideas, it helps to have other people to offer suggestions. I really want to make this club for all the anglers.
P.S. My boat is done, should be out on the water in a couple day, Saturday I am popping the question so that is out.
