Went to Morse Sunday, fish were tougher to find. We did manage a limit (50), but it took a while. All fish were 11"+. Won't be long there and everyone will be catching them.
Caught so many fish today my thumb is sore from clicking the counter.

Hey Papermouth......I heard the fees were getting ridiculous there. 12$ during the week and 30$ on the weekend. Is this true? I just bought a boat for the first time and had a budy who always fished there but......quit going because he said the boat launch fees were getting to high. Didn't know if the raised them to that rate after a certain date or what?????? Maybe you can help.

I believe you are right... rates don't go up until Memorial Day, and it is $12 now. It's funny how the economy is supposed to be getting worse, but the boat traffic, both pleasure boaters and fisherman have seem to be on the increase this year at every lake I visit (including out of state lakes like Kentucky Lake). Saturday, I hit one of my favorite honey holes, which is trolling motor only, and it was loaded with boats where as last year you're lucky to see 5 other boats at in given time. Here I always thought my hobbies where expensive, but I guess just about anybody can afford owning and towing a boat (plus maintaining it), filling it with gas, paying launch fee, buying equipment, bait, state launching permits, beer, etc, now . I'm not complaining, just surprised... Good Fishing... HT

Sorry Guys, but they changed it either last year or the year before to May the 1st the increased fees begin. After that you can do an early in/early out for $12.00 (in before 7 off by 11:00)

It is definitely a license to steal at both of the lakes. (Geist and Morse)
