Is there a motor limit on the lake? Thinkin of driving up there from down by Camp Atterbury don't want to get all the way up there to find out I should have hung the 8hp on the back of boat. Thanks for the info
I have been out to Red Bridge a couple of times the past week and the crappie fishing is beginning to pick up. Kicked a hole in the ice Monday and caught 12 keepers lots of dinks as well. Thursday was even better with 16 and 2 just over 12". Small ice fishing jigs will do the trick blue/chartruese was the best, followed by dark green.
I fish Red Bridge every year at ice off. I don't bother getting the boat out until the fish move into the red bridge area. When the crappie move into this area they can be targeted in other areas I'm usually the only SAF on the lake this time of year so look for me.
I have been very busy this winter. The wife and I added a new crappie catcher on December 5th. Sorry I haven't been emailing people back, just been busy. I have made my plans with grandparents, daycare, and the wife to sneak in some serious fishing the next 3-4 weeks.
Good Luck All!! See you out there!
Caught so many fish today my thumb is sore from clicking the counter.

Congrats on the new addition to the family
There is no "horsepower-limit" on Morse, and thank god, because the lake is 7miles long, of course there is alot of no-wake zones, like the red bridge area PL is talking about. PL, how's the water color up on the north end, I have been fishing the southern part, still very murky...
Ask me about: Bobby Garland, CrappiePro, Yeti Coolers, Power-Pole, and Simms Products!
where you tiping your jigs or just fishing them plan jan?
Thanks High Tide for the info. Wantin to get the boat out some before I head to AL to check out every thing
No horsepower limit on Morse. Water is very murky in Red Bridge, I fished the southern end myself and there is no differance in the water color. Hinkle Creek is the same way.
I am not tipping the jig with anything. Use a hi-vis line so you can see the line twitch right now. Chances are you won't feel them hit. If you have to have a bobber go small. When you think you're small enough, go even smaller with the bobber. I will use a sponge bobber alot this time of year.

Im thinking about making a trip down from Kokomo and have never fished Morse. Is there a good spot to drop in on the north end of the lake?
Thanks for the report PL. Pm me if you need a partner mid week. Not working right now but haven't hit it due to the wind.
