    Default Heck of a Crappie!


    Posted in Lake Monroe Fishing…caught April 28, 4.08 lbs, 18.3 inches, using a minnow off Paynetown docks. Released back in lake. Super Nice Fish! Don’t have names.

    At my age I aint one that has continued mounting things but that one FOR SURE would go on my wall. I wouldnt mount a 3 lber (if I ever catch one) but I would make a nice 8 X 10 of it though.

    Back in march Lake Monroe gave up a new state record smallmouth bass 8.23 lbs. Over the past 50 plus years, I have caught good numbers and large fish out of Monroe. Right now, with the lake up due to the rains, I would be hammering the flooded bushes and timber near creek channels and possible spawning areas.
