    Default Crazy weather!

Dragged the boat out of the garage today, checked and serviced everything, drug the water hose out and fired up and ran motor with new pure unleaded gas I got yesterday, greased and check tire pressure on trailer, been going over rods and reels. Yesterday spent couple hours upgrading new software in all electronics including Mega Live transducer, This crazy weather is all but cracking high 60’s and so it’s time to hammer down. I need to reset some settings in my Helix units after all the software upgrades and will be good to go. We still had snow and ice pack on my county road at noon today where the sun doesn’t hit it as well as north slopes of the hills. How many others out there are “biting at the bit”, to get on the water? I know a bunch of yas already are in the hammer mode! Post your trips and results.

Yep mid 60's yesterday, today we'll be lucky to make it to 45. Aren't we lucky to live in an area with such diversity in the weather?

45??.? It’s 59 right now. Wife has croakers blooming in her flower garden and yellow daffodils are sprouting and have buds on them ready to bloom out. I bet if this keeps up which it will, I can find an early mushroom or two! All reservoirs are either normal pool or at winter stages with little inflow also. After today’s storms passing thru, this strong El Niño is weakening and slowly turning into a la Nina by May they are predicting. Here we can use the rains.

We just got home last night after spending 7 weeks in Florida. My BIL texted me it was 45 degrees in Sarasota overnight, while it was 47 degrees in northern Indiana. Crazy weather is right. Looking forward to getting on with some spring fishing.
