Thread: Lake Lemon Monday 5/22

On the lake at 8 am and no wind making the lake too calm for my liking as finally wind kicked in at noon putting a nice ripple on the lake. Fish didn’t want to cooperate and it was really slow. For 5 hrs of fishing kept 13 over 10” to 12.5”. Females cleaned some had spawned out so that could be a prime reason fishing has slowed down alittle. Water temp was 73.5. Trolling speed was 1.7 to 1.9 mph. I graphed a lot of fish and tried different depths but not a lot of action. Not a lot of fishermen on lake and they were mostly using minnows it looked like and they were moving around trying a lot of places. I did chat with a couple of boaters and they were catching dinks. I did catch maybe 30 small crappie total also on crankbaits. Best color today was Crome clown PICO. Still a good morning to get out and wet a line.
