mild Winter so spray down as tics are lousy this year! Especially for turkey season coming up last of this month also.

You might try a batch this year without soaking them. Same process of cutting in half but just a quick rinse and layout on towel to dry before cooking. Brings out the flavor a little more and they will be firmer. Just my opinion, give it try. I go as far as to string all my morels up like a popcorn string and hang to dry for up to a week sometimes. I then store in containers and use them in cooking. Super smoky, earthy flavor comes out after drying. Good meals ahead!

Yep, I have lightly soaked them or just washed them off before when they are not buggie. I have dehydrated them and stored in glass jars, then rehydrated and used. The wife has floured, then froze them on a cookie sheet, then vacumn sealed them but I find that way it’s better to use and fry them within 2-3 months when she stores a few that way. Great eating so get them at this time of the year when the morels show up.
