We weren't feeling well last Saturday, just a case of the punies.
We are expecting a good bit of rain later but we are hoping to try again tomorrow.
I'm retired but my wife still works so weekends are our only chance.
The wife and I will likely hit Monroe this weekend.
We did well fishing from the docks last year and are hoping for more of the same.
Dropping jigs beside the dock worked well for us, we had a blast.
After a fun outing at KY Lake we are ready for our "home" waters and hoping for the best.

Sounds like the makings for a good outing

Well we made it to Monroe on Saturday, the wind picked up as the day progressed.
Fishing from the docks we managed a couple of decent gills but the rest were all small.
We had no luck at all with jigs so we switched to red worms on the bottom or under a bobber for our only ketchn.
The water is quite shallow at these docks as is most of the lake so I'm told, bobber depth was maybe 3 feet which was not far from bottom.
We arrived at 11am and left at about 3:30. We had had on the water, were wind blown and were getting chilly so we headed home.
We were happy to get out.
We are going to have to shop for some better warmth providing gear. In a few weeks it will be cold.
That cool weather will bring the crappie to the docks

Yes it will Jack, we will be fishing at some other docks when that time come, maybe next Saturday.
Which docks were you fishing on Monroe?
