Nice fish and report! WTG!
Took advantage of the 70+ degree temps and checked out the local res. yesterday. Water was 49+ deg. with about 4" of visibility. Had steady winds gusting 20-25 mph, but sat out in it anyway fishing the last of the deep winter schools. Looks like a lot of fish have left, as the groups aren't near as large, but managed a couple dozen on what sounded like a pretty tough day from the other reports I've seen locally.
A lot of wind and cool weather in the forecast, plus the fish will be on the move in April, so may need to start checking out some other lakes if things ever get stable. Several lakes flooded right now, so it might be a while.

Yesterday was pretty tough, I didnt even try. Nice work
3 days of freezing nights might keep them deep.

Not looking good, though "deep" is relative. I went out Monday and the really deep winter fish sitting in the main river channel are gone and starting to scatter. Had to play the wind and the terrible water color (half the res was trashed), but caught about 4 dozen fish that have started to regroup in different areas on the next shallower cover, the deepest near their spawning coves. Water temps had warmed to 49-53 degrees, so I think there is no turning back now even after we cool again with this front.
Hope your dead on right! Will find out next week as been busy as heck and it seems like when I do have time,,wind is gusting over 20 mph.
