Got a late start buddys alarm didn't go off then his truck wouldn't start, got on lake at 8 fished till 2.. Caught a total of 66 and kept 2 limits only because my buddys wife had never eaten any crappie and he hadnt had any in about 10 yrs..
At least 40 of the 66 fish caught were caught in one spot in less the 8ft of water, on monkey milk top/chart tail, beaver tail body and 1/32 oz weedless jig head. Fish were very aggressive today caught 40 in a hr and a half and were really thumping it.. also caught about a 15-16 in white bass and got it up to boat and pulled loose, a school of them about a 50ft circle started busting shad about 50 ft from pontoon and threw jig in the middle of them and it about pulled rod out of my hand, love they way they fight. Great day on the water but as usual a lot of nuts out and they started at 930 today and progressively got worse, was like being on lake michigan in spots.
