    Default Early mushrooms and Copperheads.

Abnormal warm weather made me check out a few places for the early mushrooms and found a few. Deep woods is not really ready but give it a week in southern Indiana or so. Also. Found 3 copperheads and managed to wack one with the other 2 speeding off. Got to try my new snake boots out.

If they don’t have some type of quick release on the back of the boots. It’s either Rocky or Rockport that offers a zipper attachment for lace-up snake boots. I bought them when I was using that style of snake boots and they really made putting them on and taking them off a breeze. Nice boots and shrooms.

I wanted these as they were the lightest I could find, and super comfortable hiking up and down the ridges and thru the brush. Will use them turkey hunting.

    Nice mess of Morels!!

Speaking of turkey hunting, they gobbling like crazy down here!
Season doesn’t open for a week.
Saw 3 different toms and a couple hens with each on the way fishing.
All of the toms were nice long beards.

Yes, they are nice. The zipper I mentioned can be used on any brand of lace-up boot because it is laced on using the boots laces.

Kept 30 I found today, the blacks are about done. Found a few greys and a white. Yellows will pop when the dogwood blooms. We need humid wetness as the woods is too dry and no humidity.

I haven't even been out yet up here. The weather has been a roller coaster, hell calling for snow showers tomorrow. Sigh.

It’s been spotty down here cause of the up/down weather and has been hit or miss on the shrooms. What we really need is humid wet weather.
