Really cool I think ya call it “ice fishing! . WTG!
Showed up at Eagle Cr around 1:45 and found ice for about as far as you could see. Only one patch of open water across the lake in the mouth of Shoal Cr. After half an hour of debating, we launched. Used a net to break ice all around the trailer as we slowly backed in, then broke ice to slowly get the boat turned and pointed toward the main lake. Finally did ice breaking for about 1/4 mile until we reached the far side of the lake. Had a couple waypoints in the open area, so we started looking. Found them piled up in the channel anywhere from 13’ to 30’ deep depending on brush depth. Managed 40-45 fish in about 2.5 hrs. By then the lake was about 40 percent open as the sun went below the treeline. Water 36 degrees.
