    Default New (to me) boat(s)

Well I've been waiting, and looking, and saving my pennies. And finally got a boat! Not much compared to alot on here but will get me on bigger water than the kayak, so I'll take it.

Funny the way it had worked out, while on our way to get a 16 ft jon, I get a text about another and ended up trading for both.

First one is a 16x36, on trailer with titles for both(earlier thread). It came with a older 10 hp evinrude. And a not so great casting deck. And decent seats.

Second one, is a 14x36 smoker craft. Has trailer but no titles. I got it strictly for some of the parts, and turns out a buddy bought it from me before it even made it here. It came with a 5 hp nissan, a 33lb foot controlled TM, and a 43 lb motorguide foot controlled TM.

I ended up keeping the 16 footer, the 5 HP, and the motorguide. Gonna rebuild the casting deck, paint over the awful green, and get it slimed! Sorry for the awful pics..I'll get better ones when I drag it back out of the barn and into the garage.

WTG! Be sure and show a pic of the finished product. I fished out of a 1436 for a lot of years besides all the other boats I had. A 1636 is a great skinny water rig.

Well GOOD! I think that will work almost anywhere. I too want to see finished pics. That will be a nice yacht.

We kinda got together and concluded that we would be better served to set 1 up for lakes and such and the other geared more towards the river. Most our local lakes are electric only..

Id be very careful in that small(narrow) John boat in a river or at least a very big river. Nice finds though.
