Well my 2 year old has been riding me pretty hard about taking her fishing for a few days so we got out today ahead of the storm for a few hours. Got a buddie with a really nice private lake with gentle shoreline and a "beach", so we grabbed a tub of crawlers and off we went.
This time was for the girls, so I didn't even unload my rod.
Cast for the baby and sat back with a cold beverage to watch. My favorite fishing trips always include my favorite person in the world. My daughter. Shes been sitting in the kayak in the garage of late with a broken rod of mine and will yell "fish on,
Fish on. It's a big one daddy" which is enough to make the coldest hearts melt, and continued her catch phrase today at the lake. I think they (mama) caught prolly 15 or 20 Brim and 1 LMB. The wife did have one take and 6 feet from shore broke the 10lb line on her rod, above the bobber. I launched the kayak to chase the rogue bobber around the lake a while to no avail. Fish would see the yak and dive. Hell be good entertainment for the next weekend sitting around drinking lol. All were released to swim again.

I had fun watching the girls. They had a blast. Thanks for reading and enjoy.

She found her "baby frog" and was pretty well done. But she sure was proud of that frog. She mustve carried it around for half hour before she finally let it go. And somehow managed to not kill it. Lol
