Very nice.
I quit ice fishing long ago, so in my spare time in the hard water months I make stuff from wood related to my panfish fishing obsession.
I made this tackle box from mahogany and box joints and I also turn my own floats from balsa for gill fishing at Worster lake.
I just thought I'd share some pix.
Very nice.
Nice job

I was just thinking today how cool it would be to have some custom/member made floats. Then another hooiser of all people posts it. Super cool. Have you ever thought about selling any?
Nice work. The slip floats are really cool. What do you use to drill the hole down thru the stem?
For slip floats I whip a small gold modified safety pin on the bottom of the stem. The stem is made from a solid hardwood dowel. Then standard bead and knots work.
For fixed floats, I use silicon tubing to attach the line to the float. This is similar to thill floats. On the top part of the stem I use an O-ring purchased from McMaster car

Nah, I've never considered selling any. I actually lose many in the trees so sometimes I run out or I give away many to fishing buddies.
Beautiful work.Thanks for sharing
looks great
