2 of us caught our limits Wednesday, 1-15.5, a couple 13" and a couple 12" rest were 9"-10". Threw back about a 20 that just needed to grow a little. Started slow with minnows but we got the jigs out and couldn't hardly make a cast without catching one. 8-10 FOW, slow retrieve. Never moved the boat. They're laying just off the shallows. We caught about 20 apiece Saturday in about 4 hrs on minnows.

That lake is full of 9" to 10" crappie this year. Must be in one of those cycles they talk about. Next year and the year after should produce some really nice fish. Plan on hitting the lake Saturday.

Wow. I wonder how many limits of 9" and under fish have been taken this year  I may skip the dam and hit some back coves tomorrow .

I did better earlier this week when fishing the coves up by red bridge. Tried the dam yesterday simply because it was closer. I usually do better at dam near the end of the spawn. First 2 fish were 12 inch white females and then it got slow for a while. Guy in a boat came down told me he limited at opposite end of dam. He offered to pick me up and take me down there but it was late and i was getting ready to leave.

Haven't been up there since last weekend. Did they spawn out? I didn't think the eggs in ones I cleaned looked ready.

Well, the lake/dam was a bust yesterday. Not sure if it was the weather or just me, though I didn't see a lot of people tearing them up either. Managed four keepers in a few hours and a handful of sub 9" fish. Not the day I was expecting. With 5 straight days of rain and 80* weather coming, be hard to tell what will happen next. That's all I have for now.

Brought home 21 between two of us yesterday. They didn't want it under a bobber and had to be moving. Close to brush. Release a lot of unders.
