Beginning Sept 5th for 10 days the lake will be lowered to a total of 2' lower than normal pool making it difficult to impossible to launch a boat according to our local newspaper article and it didn't say how long the lake would be drawn down, but its due to the fact, they are going to do major repairs to the railroad trestle and they didn't say how long but its a major repair job so its going to take along time. Just a FYI.

you mite need one of these. shoot i want one even without a need.
The trestle is in a south backwater shallow 10-15 acre section of the lake that you can't even get your boat into. It's maybe 2-300 ft tall and several 100 yds long and hadn't been maintained for over 20 yrs. They have been reworking theentire rebuilding of the tracks for about a year as it's well used. So I am guessing they are going to work on the support structure and for how long the article didn't say. I would imagine the lake might be down for quite a while the way they have totally rebuilt the tracks and all the crossings.
