Whoa guys I didn't start this thread to cause arguments
1 I just wondered why it's so quite.
2 when I fish up at Patoka it's mostly at the handicapped pier as I have a Buddy that's wheel chair bound.
3 No matter where you're favorite spot is telling an area isn't going to hurt much. We all know fish move around and while they're here today tomorrow they'll be someplace else. Isn't that why you pre-fish for tournaments? If that wasn't the case then pre-fishing would be a waste of time.
good fishing to all of you.

For 12-14 yrs long ago I used to fish bass tourneys. Old habits are hard to break. I still catch myself when taking the boat out of the water, cutting the baits off my lines so that nobody sees what I was using. When other fishermen walk up to me to ask how I did, I find myself commenting still, that today's fishing was so so with nothing much in the cooler or live well. I even sometimes haven't posted here to keep quiet about my fishing. We all do it from time to time. Think I will drag the boat out of the garage and go fishing this weekend as it's going to be hot for deer hunting so I can post something. Lol

Haven't posted anything lately myself but not been out fishing either. Check in every while and figured a lot of people switched over to hunting like I did. Hope to get out and fish a couple more times myself. Sorry you think this site is worthless Jim but I absolutely do not agree. Slab does a great job here and I have learned quite a bit of great information to help better myself in the crappie world. Thanks Slab and all who keep this site going!

havent been on in a while either. all sites seem to have taken a hit for one reason or another. still lots of info can be had here, just not lake names like stated by others. i dont tourney fish so, i tell all my "secret techniques". leadhead with a power grub jigged in wood. there thats all of them.

i have seen social media do more damage, from postings, than any fishing site. its crazy how people suck off others anymore. got pictures of 2 separate occasions that a lake has been decimated. cant post them though, because of back grounds. one time there were 75 guys on a small lake 3 days after a post went up. the other time there were at least a hundred people crammed into a bay within days. that one lasted untill the fish were all caught up, and it ruined parking there too.(ice season). then there were still late comers trying the rest of the season. then the boats came out in spring. unbelievable. thats why you only see pics from my cleaning table, if at all, these days.

I don't think all tourney guys are bad, I've fished my share of them. But, when you add money into any equation, no matter what. Things change, which is understandable. But undoubtedly, I think that has changed this forum for our state. Anybody who's been here a while, can't disagree.

    I'm here.....
Taking a break from +/or getting out of bass tourneys......mostly for the reasons mentioned above.
Gotta find fish for tourney day, don't give away info, committed to fish in the rain/wind....

Back to having fun and chasing crappie!
Haven't found many good fish most of the year, lots of shorts, few over 9".
Have posted some, not much good info to share ......
