2 seafoam
but 9 yrs, its been pretty good to ya. cant be all bad, eh.
Looking for feedback on a couple of Suzuki Marine dealers. I need to take the motor in and have it looked at, probably an ethanol issue.
Reeder-Trausch in Bellmore
Bo's Marine in Rochester
Also what is your preferred fuel treatment. I've been using stabile marine religiously in this motor for 9 years and this is my first issue. I've had 1 marine mechanic tell me it is the worst treatment to use another one recommends it.

Star brite by star tron I think it is the name. Blue bottle. One bottle treats 128 gal of gas. Walmart is a place you can find it. Stabilizes gas for 2 yrs besides keeps motor clean. And I also use sea foam also. But, I also go out of my way to burn pure unleaded without any ethanol in it. Download for phone or iPad the program " Pure Gas". Had a motor 2 yrs ago quit running and the issue was carbon build up that completely clogged the exhaust port shut cause of ethanol. Dealer I took it to was a friend of mine, he showed me gas lines totally clogged on 200 merc still under warantee, from using ethanol. It's a real problem whether we want to admit it or not. If you ever burn 15% ethanol, on most motors will void warantee.

I put sea foam in at every fill up, and have had no fuel or carb problems to date. Its cheap insurance.
I would say to replace fuel lines and primer ball and you would be good. What happens to pre 2010 fuel lines is the ethanol separates the inners of the line, makes it soft and sucks the hose together. Sometimes the pieces of fuel line will wash past the filters and get into the fuel pump. Drain your filter into a clear container and look for particles. Fuel lines will be easy to do and start with, save ya some

There's also a high pressure filter on the left side that can give you problems. Have them check it and not just blow air through the system.
