Default It's looking like one of those springs....

Went out to Missy yesterday morning, lake was up about 8' over winter pool and still quite stained. Up river was worse, water was high, fast current, with no real bank and very muddy. Water temp was between 46* and 48*. More cold and rain coming in the 10 day forecast. Still time for it to turn around in May, but it's looking like a real tough April ahead of us. good ol' Indiana weather Anybody been out or planning on going out ?

Havent been out since last weekend..i figured with the rain it wasnt worth wastin my time. At this point im hoping maybe late next week or the weekend but i see wednesday is a 60 percent chance of rain. That would be par for the course. Everytime it starts to clear we get more rain.

I haven't had too much time to go out so I'm happy. Keeps you all from catching them all! Haha.

Trying my family's farm pond today...

Be careful on the high water .but take advantage of the warmer rains just like the fish do u would be surprised what 3-5 degree warmer rain would do for fish if you have any creeks that feed your water

Quite the opposite for me. I have been out 4 times so far this year, 3 on a boat on 3 different lakes and 1 time on a farm pond. My first time out it was the first week of March and we only caught a few, but the wind was blowing steady at 15mph with gusts to 25mph. The other 2 times out on the boat were fantastic, including last Saturday (not yesterday). The farm pond on Wednesday was very good as well. This is the best Spring I have had in probably 15 years for numbers and size. It's just making it out between the fronts.

Half inch of rain tomorrow, 50 percent chance Friday. Highs in the 30s Saturday. Rain likely already for next Monday Definitely going to be one of those springs on Missy anyway.
