Thread: April Fools at the Cat

Went to Cataract today and Mother Nature pulled an April Fools Joke on us. Water temp was 53-55 Water was stained park side and water was heavy stained to light muddy above the narrows. Lake is 2 ft high right now. Mill creek feeding lake is running high and muddy. So lake may rise some in the next few days. Started fishing around 10am and did better in afternoon. Wind was bad everywhere on lake. Did manage to catch around 30 for the day with about 15 keepers and had 2 at a pound. Casting and straight line down towards bottom in around 12-15fow. Had a good time. The Thursday morning tourneys will start April 21, hope to see a good turn out. Check us out at Cataract Slab Masters. Nice report, been thinking about the Cat. Hate to see this next week of cold fronts coming thru every 2-3 days, but that is the spring time for us. Good luck fishing.
