    This is no April Fools Joke, today is the day you need your new fishing license. If you get a yearly, they will be good till end of March 2017. If you have a lifetime congrats just sit back and go fishing.

    Any idea if they'd ever bring back the lifetimes? Even for a year or two to get a big inflow of cash?

    Give my dad hell every year since he didn't get me one when I was a kid before they got rid of them.

    When your 65, you can buy your last fishing license and you buy no more. It turns into a lifetime fishing license. Only costs normal price of a yearly license. DNR has no intentions of bringing back lifetime hunting and fishing licenses. They figured they lost too much money. I bought my lifetime hunting license when they first came out at 200 bucks and happy I did.

    Well only 35 more years to go!

    I wouldn't even care if they figured out what I'd pay total and charge me that. Just convenient not having to keep purchasing new ones. Fishing isn't so bad once a year. Hunting, deer, turkey, etc. Gets more annoying.
