I've already caught hundreds this year in my daydreams
Pretty sure the Crappie fever has set in for me. I've been tying double minnow rigs, slips bobber rigs, and organizing the boat for the last ten days all while watching YouTube videos of Crappie being caught. Going to hit the water this weekend and see if I can find those specks. I typically have a harder time pre-spawn than other times of the year, but I am hoping that changes this year.
Taking a kid fishing makes the world a better place one memory at a time.

Don't forget to check shallower water. 2 weeks ago we were catching 11"+ fish in 6 to 8' of water. Water temp was 42 deg
Just a fool fishin
This cracked me up because I'm having the exact same problem. Day dreaming about fishing, reading about fishing, watching fishing videos, and occasionally actually sneaking off to go fishing.
I got my crappie itch scratched last weekend. Went out Saturday morning and caught about 15 total, keeping 11 for a fish fry. Most were in the 12' to 15' range about 6-8' down. Good luck if you make it out. They should be about the same places this weekend since the weather has cooled off a bit.

I just managed to weasel my way out of work this afternoon. I'll have to make up a few hours in the morning but I can't pass up this weather.
I just came in from working in the yard and wished I had hooked the boat up after lunch and tried to find a few more. Maybe tomorrow!
