yeah JP, i havent tossed her back for 20som years,(or vise versa) so i guess ill keep her. believe me, fish in the kitchen has been the least of her issues with me.

i set here on saturday morning, wondering how many boats will be there today and tomarrow. i try and stay off the waters on weekends. im sure glad i took my buddy out last sunday though. it made for a hellofa week.

same thing yes. a guy can really put them away like that!

    todays catch-
i though the cold front and the rain would put a damper on the bite for sure. found out thats not the case. we pulled another 2 man limit of crappie this morning. fished from 9-12 to do it. those things were as hungry as ever. casting jigs and soaking minnows same as before. all fish blacks between 11"-14" tossed 4 runts back today. seen 5 rigs at the ramp today. didnt see any all last week. lol

had 4 or 5 cars stop watching, and 2 guys and a kid got out and walked down to take pictures and stand there and watch.(50yrds away!) wth is wrong with people? lol

How do you keep the fish from falling apart when you remove them from the boiling water?

Them folks were just wanting a photo of a crappie guru.

im just real careful with them when i put them in the ice water. wish i had a basket type deal. i dont remember ever trying it with crappie, mite not work so well, because of that. ill find out here in a couple hours. i thought of maybe poaching a couple back straps in butter too. old ladys gone for the night so experiment time. a few ideas, margaritas, and fillets........ you know how it goes.

    my half the take today

    one of the big ones

14.5" pinched out. finally one white crappie in the bunch today too.
