Brookville is finally at summer pool. There is still alot of water coming into the lake so they are releasing quite a bit of water thru the spillway. There is a lot of mud in the water but the fish have been biting real good. I have been bank fishing and catching everything in real skinny water. The smallmouth were biting real good until the water got muddy. Most fish have been caught right on the bank for me.

We were able to get out for a little bit Friday afternoon for the first time this year. We mainly focused on letting the boat run and getting checking out different spots. We went back in Wolf Creek, down by the dam, and in Templeton. It was very windy and the water and muddy. Water temps varied from from 48-53 degrees.

We went out on Sat. First we hunted mushroom then we went fishing. We found 20 or so black sponge and caught a few fish. I went home got something to eat then went back out at dark and fished along the dam for walleye and ended up with a couple on swimbaits. All and all not a bad day!

Anybody been back to brookville lately it's been 2 weeks since I have only fished an hour or so but had six fairly quickly long lining jigs... Just was wondering what the water temp and lake conditions were like... Good luck

    Default Brookville lake

I was there yesterday. Water temp was between 60 and 62. No real slabs caught but a number between 10 and 12".

Water was fairly stained. Lots of winter debris floating still.

Last Friday spider rigging 10-12 fow caught limit of nice females. Yesterday fish seemed scattered anywhere from 5 -10 fow. Males were all darkened came from 5 fow along main lake bank.Mostly fishing from Quakertown causeway to hole in the wall. Chartreuse or Black 2 twister tail on 1/16 chartreuse road runner type jig head tipped with small minnow is what has been working for me.Trying them again tomorrow.
